The 2008 Ram 1500 Regular Cab 4X2 is a 2-door, up to 3-passenger full size pickup, available in 6 trims, ranging from the ST SWB to the SLT LWB.
Upon introduction, the ST SWB is equipped with a standard 3.7-liter, V6, 215-horsepower engine that achieves 16-mpg in the city and 19-mpg on the highway. A 6-speed manual transmission with overdrive is standard, and a 4-speed automatic transmission with overdrive is optional. The SLT LWB is equipped with a standard 4.7-liter, V8, 310-horsepower engine that achieves 13-mpg in the city and 17-mpg on the highway.
