Upon introduction, the LS is equipped with a standard 2.2-liter, I4, 149-horsepower engine that achieves 20-mpg in the city and 30-mpg on the highway. The LT2 is equipped with a standard 2.4-liter, I4, 172-horsepower engine that achieves 20-mpg in the city and 29-mpg on the highway.
